Mod Max: Custom Cars Square Off at the Canadian International Auto Show

Just about every gearhead within the globe with the means to achieve this has changed their car in a few manners, forms, or forms. Whether it’s a baller set of rims, custom paintwork, or a hard and fast fuzzy cube, personalizing one’s vehicle is a ceremony of passage for most people into cars.

Visitors to this year’s Canadian International Auto Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre can view eight great custom rides thanks to a competition known as Custom Car Battlegrounds. This competition pits modified automobiles against each other in a battle for online recognition.

 

Custom Car Battlegrounds is a trendy concept created by the creators of Tuner Battlegrounds, in which fans can compete with their modified motors and vote for their preferred custom rides. Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG) will celebrate those custom creations for the second year in a row. Gearheads taking part in this 12 months’ conflict can compete for a special danger to put their very own pride and pleasure on show at the 2019 Canadian International Auto Show.

Rather than have a gaggle of hand-decided curators deciding on the winners, Canada’s car fanatic community – the show target market, fans, buddies, and family – will determine who reigns perfect. By clicking a button through Facebook-enabled balloting or growing a new submission with a delegated hashtag on Instagram or Twitter, the target audience votes to pick out their favorite changed automobiles on display in the opposition.

“The care and paintings that go into each custom construct is commendable, and people investing the time, attempt, and cash deserve some reputation for his or her work,” says Tim Rutledge, Publisher of PASMAG. “Bringing Tuner Battlegrounds to the AutoShow became immensely successful for our Canadian fanatics closing 12 months, and we’re excited to see the opposition for votes in our second year as we launch Custom Car Battlegrounds.

Competitors will wear it out over levels to be crowned the 2019 CustomCar Battlegrounds: Auto Show champ. Stage 1 advances the top 8 rides as voted using the internet network between February 15th (10:30 AM) and February 18th (10:00 PM). The pinnacle four could be voted on between February 19th and February twenty-first (equal instances of the day), with the last competition duking it out starting at 10:30 AM on February 22nd. Voting for the remaining winner will run through to February twenty-fourth at 2:00 PM.

Located in Castrol Alley at the 700 level of the south construction of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the competition places a $3500 cash award within the fingers of the prevailing access, plus passes to the AutoShow and runner-up prizes for the second and 1/3 region finishers of $1,000 and $500, respectively.
